Breast cancer

Approximately 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The key to survival is early, accurate detection, and expert care.

Our program at the Sam and Grace Carvajal Comprehensive Breast Center brings together expert surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and nurses to deliver seamless care tailored to your needs. We support you in every way possible, from genetic testing and advanced diagnostics to the latest treatment procedures and support services, all in one coordinated, patient-centered program.

Lung cancer

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. We offer convenient online risk assessments and advanced, low-dose lung screenings to detect cancer early. Our interventional pulmonology program provides minimally invasive procedures and leading-edge therapies to diagnose and treat lung conditions. These treatments often eliminate the need for traditional surgery, offering patients faster recovery, and improved outcomes.

Prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men in the U.S. Fortunately, it can be treated effectively if diagnosed early enough.

Our expert team offers PSA tests (a blood test that can indicate the presence of cancer) to men over 50, as well as other advanced diagnostic tests to confirm cancer and determine its stage. Should you be diagnosed with cancer, your oncologist will explain your treatment options.

In cases of early-stage, slow-growing cancer, active surveillance may be an option to prolong treatment. We offer the most cutting-edge treatments, including the da Vinci Surgical System for more precise prostatectomies, as well as cryoablation. We are also among the few hospitals equipped with the Varian TrueBeam® Linear Accelerator, which precisely targets cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissue.

Gastrointestinal (GI) cancer

Our Digestive Disease Center provides comprehensive care for GI cancers using advanced, minimally invasive techniques. Our team specializes in interventional endoscopic procedures and robotic-assisted surgeries to diagnose and treat cancers of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, and colon — resulting in faster recovery times, reduced pain, and improved outcomes for our patients.

Brain cancer

Our Neuroscience Institute provides advanced care for malignant brain tumors using computer-assisted and image-guided neurosurgery. We are also one of the few medical centers in Southern California offering a broad range of minimally invasive cerebrovascular and endovascular procedures, including those designed to treat brain tumors that involve or affect the brain’s blood vessels. These innovative techniques allow for faster recovery, fewer complications, and improved outcomes.

Advanced diagnostics

Early detection is one of the most effective ways to protect your health and improve treatment outcomes. Whether through routine screenings or a diagnostic exam, you can count on us to identify cancer at its earliest, most treatable stages. At Adventist Health Glendale, we offer an array of advanced diagnostic tests and procedures, including:

  • Digital mammograms
  • Breast ultrasounds
  • MRIs
  • Low-dose CT scans for lung cancer
  • Colonoscopies
  • PSA tests
  • Genetic testing
