It’s important to get an annual flu vaccine to not only protect yourself but to prevent spreading the flu to others. Flu vaccines are covered by insurance and easy to get at your primary care provider or most pharmacies in your community. While influenza viruses can spread all year long, flu season usually occurs in the fall or winter. That’s why it’s important to prioritize an annual flu shot, ideally by the end of October.
